Brian Ramos is the founder and chief executive officer of SomarHealth, a boutique healthcare consulting company. In his role, Brian is personally dedicated to each client portfolio. SomarHealth limits the number of simultaneous engagements to ensure clients receive the attention they deserve.
Prior to forming SomarHealth, Brian held executive management positions in national anesthesia management consulting firms, premier academic medical centers, independent ambulatory surgical centers and large multi-site and multi-state private physician primary care, single- and multi-specialty group practices.
Brian earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Computer Science from Boston College and a Master of Business Administration from Fitchburg State University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives, one of only twelve-hundred healthcare executives with this distinction nationally. Brian was formally trained in the Toyota Production System (Lean) and uses these tools to create cultures of continuous improvement. Additionally, Brian is past president of the California Medical Group Management Association, treasurer of the Maryland Patient Care & Access Coalition and past president of the Maryland Medical Group Management Association.
Further, as a nationally recognized speaker, Brian delivers interactive presentations on healthcare finance and operations to healthcare leaders.

The American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) recognizes an individual’s competence and advancement to Fellow when the individual has proven it is a leader through volunteer work and is an innovative thinker in the industry through a professional submission reviewed by peers.
As the highest designation in the medical management industry, Board fellowship demonstrates leadership, innovation, mastery and professional engagement in healthcare.
Brian Ramos, was awarded a 2020 "Rise Above" recognition award by the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) for exceptional work in the field of medical practice management, especially during the unprecedented time in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. Brian co-authored a medical practice re-opening checklist and presented on various topics including how to re-open a practice safety and how to develop an internal contract tracing program.
